Room: clean, comfortable. Location: convenient, easy to find. Service: this is difficult to describe. One of the desk clerks - he was there Fri night when I arrived and Sun morning when I left for the day - caused me to question the choice I'd made in booking at this location. He was nervous, anxious, jumpy. He asked me several times, was I alone? Did I have a pet? was anyone with me? As I left, he made several remarks about my daily habits: I'd been out all day Sat and Sun, I'd come back late the night before, etc. It made me nervous enough that I carried some of my belongings with me whenever I left the room because I was concerned that someone might be going through my room while I was out. Next time I'm visiting my loved ones in the area, I'll likely book lodgings in Seaside or Salinas instead.
